Equip De Saints – Editorial Guidelines & Content Standards

1. Editorial Purpose

The editorial standards of Equip De Saints exist to ensure that all published content:

  • Faithfully represents biblical truth
  • Equips believers holistically for Christian life and service
  • Builds unity, maturity, and discernment in the Body of Christ
  • Reflects Christlike humility, wisdom, and love

All content is governed by our Vision, Mission, Values, and Doctrinal Statement.


2. Authority of Scripture

  • Scripture is the primary and final authority for all teaching
  • Articles must be:
    • Rooted in biblical texts
    • Faithful to proper context and sound interpretation
  • Proof-texting, speculative interpretations, or isolated verse usage is discouraged

Authors are encouraged to:

  • Explain Scripture clearly
  • Apply it responsibly
  • Distinguish between biblical teaching and personal insight

3. Christ-Centered Focus

All content must ultimately point to:

  • The glory of God
  • The person and work of Jesus Christ
  • The transforming power of the Gospel

Content that:

  • Elevates human wisdom above Scripture
  • Centers excessively on self, success, or prosperity
  • Minimizes sin, repentance, or the cross

will not be approved.


4. Categories & Scope of Teaching

Authors must write within approved categories and their area of competence.

  • Doctrinal topics → handled with theological care
  • Practical life topics → grounded in Scripture
  • Professional topics (health, finance, psychology, leadership) → framed biblically and responsibly

Cross-category writing is permitted where appropriate, but clarity of focus is required.


5. Tone, Language & Spirit

All content must reflect:

  • Humility and grace
  • Pastoral sensitivity
  • Respect for the global and diverse Body of Christ

The following are not permitted:

  • Condescending or mocking tone
  • Personal attacks or polemics
  • Sensationalism or fear-based messaging
  • Manipulative language or unbiblical promises

Authors should write as servants and shepherds, not provocateurs.


6. Doctrinal Boundaries

Permitted:

  • Teaching aligned with the platform’s Doctrinal Statement
  • Thoughtful engagement with difficult biblical topics
  • Acknowledgment of differing Christian views (with charity)

Not Permitted:

  • Promotion of heresy or false gospels
  • Denial of core Christian doctrines
  • Teaching that causes unnecessary division
  • Claims of exclusive revelation or authority

Secondary theological disagreements must be handled respectfully and clearly labeled as such.


7. Denominational Neutrality

Equip De Saints is not aligned with any single denomination.

Authors must:

  • Avoid promoting denominational superiority
  • Avoid attacking other orthodox Christian traditions
  • Teach from Scripture, not sectarian agendas

Denominational perspectives may be mentioned for clarity, not persuasion.


8. Health, Mental Health & Counseling Content

All health-related content must:

  • Be educational, not prescriptive
  • Encourage professional care when appropriate
  • Avoid diagnosing or treating readers
  • Include appropriate disclaimers

Faith-based encouragement must not replace medical or psychological care.


9. Finance, Business & Stewardship Content

Financial content must:

  • Emphasize stewardship, wisdom, and integrity
  • Avoid speculative, manipulative, or guarantee-based claims
  • Avoid promoting specific investments or get-rich narratives

Prosperity-focused teaching that contradicts biblical balance will not be approved.


10. Ethics, Originality & Attribution

Authors must:

  • Submit original work
  • Properly attribute quotations and sources
  • Avoid plagiarism and AI-generated content without disclosure
  • Respect copyright laws

Scripture translations should be cited where appropriate.


11. Editorial Review Process

All submissions undergo review for:

  • Doctrinal alignment
  • Scriptural faithfulness
  • Clarity and structure
  • Tone and pastoral responsibility

Editors may:

  • Request revisions
  • Suggest clarifications
  • Decline publication

Final publishing authority rests with the Equip De Saints Editorial Team.


12. Sensitive Topics

Topics involving:

  • Trauma
  • Abuse
  • Sexual ethics
  • Grief
  • Mental illness
  • Cultural or social tension

Must be handled with:

  • Wisdom
  • Compassion
  • Scriptural faithfulness
  • Clear disclaimers where needed

Sensational or graphic content is not permitted.


13. Author Accountability

Authors are expected to:

  • Receive correction humbly
  • Submit to editorial guidance
  • Represent Christ honorably

Persistent disregard for these standards may result in suspension or removal of contributor privileges.
